Re-Launch of the Acadiana .Net User Group Site! Now it is useful!
We have re-launched the Acadiana .Net User Group (http://acadianaug.org) site and believe that it is now useful, helpful, and has up-to-date information. It has RSS Feeds so you can subscribe to the User Group Articles, Events (User Group meetings), and several things that we believe will help grow our community in the coming days.

I finally got the stars aligned and had some sleepless nights to finish this site up and get it all live and working correctly. I am still knee deep in several additions to this site that involve heavy use of Silverlight 2 for Media Video Casting and Audio Casting (anyone out there that has experience, let me know), as well as several surprises that will all be revealed in due time. There are not really ready to be prime time yet due to time constraints and me needing to work on several things at once. I guess I am good at keeping myself busy :)!

***Please, Please, Please take the time to register to our new site!*** This will very soon be the way you will be notified of meetings, etc, as we will be getting rid of this antique way of communicating (and save me time as well). Instead, we will be relying on RSS Feeds for Event Notification, and the flyers will be mass emailed out to all those registered. So don't miss out on valuable information and great SWAG giveaways. Again, please REGISTER! Also, notice RSS Feeds on Articles and Events/Meetings, Community Articles, Non-Intrusive Sponsor Support, and many more things.

The site itself is resting on ASP.NET MVC Framework (Beta). I have to say, after working with ASP.NET MVC for over 6 months now, I can finally say what an amazing framework this is. I am finally excited again to be working with ASP.NET in new and non-intrusive ways. Couple that with jQuery, Silverlight 2, and just standard AJAX, and I believe these 4 things can truely make some very impressive solutions and architecture.

Keep an eye on this site. As there are many more features we are working on and excited to eventually have it all ready to show. The shell is done, but still plenty of substance left.

Thanks for your patience guys,

Corey J Gaudin
